Fuel

Not a big section but worthy of mention due to the fact that it was probably the biggest nightmare on the car. I used stainless steel braided rubber hose through out, but when I filled the car with fuel for the first time the smell of petrol was nauseating. It transpires that this phenomena is a known issue with this type of hose. I had to replace all the hose with the Teflon type. The trouble with the Teflon type is that you cannot use push on fittings, everything had to be redesigned and changed. One of the very low moments. A custom made ATL fuel cell was purchased. At the time I was the only private individual to have had a custom cell made.

Fuel lines are mounted under the chassis.
